I love this like I loved their old work and the free mixtape they recently released featuring new music demonstrates a fresher direction, but one that is still lovely and enjoyable.

Desert Stars, Boys I Like (from the Boys I Like/Farewell Decade 7”)
Well I’m biased when it comes to Brooklyn bands…I usually instantly fall in love. And it’s happened again with Desert Stars. I’ve only heard two tracks but I’m smitten. There’s this definite Beach House vibe they’re rocking but it’s so much more than that. Really the only thing to do at this point is to keep ear tabs on these guys. Brooklyn’s got another hot one…like we’re on a desert, temperature-wise hot (you see what I did there right)! I’ve posted the stellar track Boys I Like but you can (and so should) hear the also excellent jam Farewell Decade over at Bandcamp or on their Soundcloud page.
